Graphic 45 Final Round Submissions 2013

Hey everyone!!!! I can finally share my final projects and video for the G45 DT call! Some of them were for DT works , so i had to wait to show them, i've been dying LOL! Here are my 4 projects and then the VIDEO. Hope you will check it out :) I tried something new! some stop motion anmiation, ya know where you take like 600 photos and edit it into 1 minute Lol!!! hugs!

Fingers crossed, we find out on the 25th if we made it! i'm dying over here!!!!

 

Cupcakes and Stand

Each cupcake opens up and has little minis and banners inside.

Project #2 Fashionista Altered Clock

The gear behind the numbers we actually milled out of plywood in my honeys shop and it moves back and forth :)

 Project #3 Steampunk Altered Book

I will be doing a tutorial very soon on how to create an altered book like this, just have lots of Xacto blades ready Lol :)

Shadow Box Tray

Hey gals! Miranda here with a tutorial on this little tray. We received these in our Swirlydoos kits, the Prima wooden pieces were in it, and i just had to alter it! And the gate chipboard pieces from the tech kit immediately came to mind. I hope you like it and will check out the video tutorial to make your own :)

So us educators have the pleasure of working with the AMAZING technique kit , along with the main kit. And this is what i came up with for you today. This mixed media canvas took well over 8 hours and has more layers than lasagna! In the video i show you how to use clay to create some yummy texture on your pieces, just don't bake "non bake" clay LOL! silly me!

Prima Lyric Layout

Hello lovely crafters! I feel like i have been so MIA lately! Been a busy little bee working on my final submissions for Graphic 45, working like a mad scientist in my scrap room Lol. So I promise to catch up with everyone soon! Here is a layout i created for Discount Paper Crafts, Cathie always has the latest stuff in her store and the BEST PRICES! I used the Prima Lyric collection, with lots of the chipboard stickers and coordinating flowers. I do believe i will be doing a ustream on this layout, or one very very similar soon! I will keep you posted! Hope you like it!

I printed the picture on a transparency again, I just love the effect of the paper showing through!

 



Mixed Media Canvas for Shimmerz

Hey lovely crafters! here today with a mixed media canvas I created for shimmerz. I have a start to finish video on how I created this piece. The voiceover came out extremely low so forgive me for that. But I hope you enjoy all the yummy texture in this piece. I used a ton of Shimmerz of course!

Graphic 45 Top 30

WAHHOOOO! okay had to let that out Lol! i'm one step closer to my dream! i made the Graphic 45 top 30! I try out every year, and was trying to prepare myself again this year to not be let down Lol. And my sweet honey was really trying too LOL! HE knows how much this means to me, and he knew that i would either be crying all day, or extremely happy! So he is relieved he don't have a sobbing baby on his hands hahahaah! Yes i set my alarm for 5AM (when they post on their blog) to check, anything wrong with that? haha! So anyways THANK YOU ALL for the support and ENCOURAGEMENT you have given me! You all are amazing! Here is the post for the top 30. Make sure to check it out, the talent is out of this world!!!! I think G45 should pick us all hehe! The bigger the better right? Lol. But really all the people who tried out are outstanding! YOu all must see them! Big hugs!

Guest Designer on the Ingvild Bolme Blog

Ya'll i am super excited and HONORED to be featured on the Ingvild Bolme blog today. Texturez and Dazzlerz

Okay so I know I rave about Shimmerz A Lot! I can't help it! But seriously, out of all the times i have raved, this one is by far the most rave worthy in my opinion! i am SO IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! and if you are a mixed media junkie like me, these are a must have! My poor modeling pastes will be obsolete from now on Lol, its time for Texturez and Dazzlerz! So here is a Video our lovely Heidi Kelly has made to demo them! The uses are endless! And i will be doing a ustream on Wednesday night at 7:30 central time demo'ing them and creating the canvas below :) I seriously hope you can all join me! My 2nd ustream, so i'm still all nerves!
