Graphic 45 Projects Alumni Takeover

Hello lovely peeps :)
I am SO EXCITED to share this post today! A few months ago I received
an email from my Graphic 45 FOREVER family, asking me and
a few other past DT members to be a part of a special week on the blog.
The Alumni Takeover. Sounds like a football game LOL!
But goodness what an honor! I have missed creating with G45 terribly!
After 2 years on their amazing prestigious design team, I immediately joined
Prima Marketing. So all of my focus shifted that way. And I am so
embarrassed to say most of my crafting for the last 2 years has been without
any G45. So creating these projects really renewed my LOVE and
affection and passion for vintage style crafting!
What I have always LOVED about G45 , is I always find myself just
using their PAPER. Not all the fancy embellies we all use all the time!
All you really need is their paper pads! Fussy cut, make some handmade flowers from
the paper. Boom , done~ now if you like to add more, goodness
they have Staples that are AMAZINGLY phenomenal! I am especially
partial to the Lion's Head door knockers. LOVE!
So after I got my packaged from them with Rare Oddities and
Voyage Beneath the Sea, I went to town! Oh how i love the SMELL of their
paper~! You all, if you own some you know what i mean?!?! I hope LOL!
There is none other that compares.
Here is the result! I created 4 projects. 2 with each collection!
I sure hope you all like it!
Please pop over to the blog and leave some love. The other DT gals from the
past ROCKED it this week! Hugs to all of you :)
Warning, picture overload LOL! I put them in order , with my favorite being last :)

First up the most simple....
Altered Mirror
I bought this cheap-o ONE DOLLAR plastic mirror a long long time ago. Knowing one day i would feel inspired to give it an updo! Graphic 45 papers are perfect for items like this! I did lots of fussy cutting to fit pieces in where i needed them to go.

Supply List
Rare Oddities Paper 12x12
Antique Brass Door Knockers
Shabby Chic Metal Clock Keys
Shabby Chic Metal Door Plates with knobs (knobs only)
Alcohol inks, crackle medium , and various paints from my stash

 Altered Cloche
I was so inspired by the image in the paper with the skull inside of the cloche, I decided to make my own! I pulled out anything I had that matched it somewhat and tried my best to mimic ithe picture , while adding my own spin. It even has LED light strands weaving through out. It looks so nice , lit up at night! I created a 3D Paper pumpkin and then just went to town making flowers and decorating until i was happy with the look. It felt so good to  just USE paper. I had not made flowers with my own hands in years! IT was so fun! For the most part anyways lol! Hope you all like it :)

Supply List
Rare Oddities Paper 12x12
Antique Metal Label Holder
Shabby Chic Metal Door Plates with knobs
Shabby Chic Metal Clock Keys
Metals, Microbeads, Dresden, Paints from my stash

Altered "SAIL" Letters

I just love altering letters, and had this set that spelled out sail! what better collection to create a gorgeous beachy decor piece.
I made my own little sailboat at the end. So easy to do! This paper begs to be fussy cut! One of my all time new faves!
G45 always knocks it out of the park with their imagery!

Supply List
Voyage Beneath The Sea 8x8
Shabby Chic Metal Door Plates
Antique Keys ( corner pieces, cut apart)
Various Mediums, Paints , and stencils

And now my favorite piece to create....
Altered Compass Clock
Okay so it's no secret i LOVE altering clocks! But i wanted to switch things up just a bit! I covered every single piece (except the handle and the legs) with the papers! Decoupaging can take some time! I know! But the end result is so worth it! I try to make it look as seamless as possible! I got grungey with some of my compass pieces, like it had been sitting at the bottom of the sea. I sure hope you like my odd spin on the classic altered clock :)
