Christmas Card Techniques with Spellbinders Platinum 6 Machine

Hello creatives :) I am super excited to share another post for Spellbinders
and their AMAZING Platinum 6 Die Cutting/Embossing machine.
I truly experimented with these cards! And had loads of fun!
I have another tutorial to share with you all as well :) Yay! And I will
have an art journal page incorporating these dies too!
More on that later! So here are my first cards of the season! woohoo!
Make sure to visit Scrapbook.com   to grab yours today! And
keep an eye on the www.spellbinders.com for inspiration galore!
I have a full product list at the bottom for easy shopping :) Just click and add
to your cart! I hope you have a lovely day and get maybe
an idea or two on how to use dies in different ways!
Huge hugs :)

I usually go ALL OUT with my cards, to me these are so simple! I knew this year I could
NOT spend a day per card to get all the people on my list lol.
In the video you will see how I used the embossing mats
to etch a cool design into my paper! Spray some color bloom or your
favorite ink to really bring it out :)

Using the die cuts you can fold them in half to create gorgeous ornaments for
your tree :)
Using the dies (without the larger circle piece) to make a pretty edge to
any card immediately makes it pretty!

Also using those dies without the circle piece that cuts them out fully, you can
add lots of whimy and cool design to the background of a card!
Add a shaker element for some real fun :)

Make sure to check out the video below :)

Thank you all so much for stopping by :)
Huge hugs and enjoy your week!

  1. Loved the ideas especially since I don’t use my machine and dies much. Loved the dies u used. Can I ask, which way do the die cutting surface go? Cutting surface up or down?

    1. Lanna, I too was like you and had pretty much stopped using my older one ! But this has renewed my love! So many options! I believe the instructions say to cut with the die facing up!!! I have a habit of facing it down though, just over the years thats how i have come to do it! But from using this new machine I do agree the dies facing "up" it gives a better cut!!!!! I'm so glad you liked it! xoxoxoox
